For Canyonside Upper - Bluewater Lake State Park: This campground had a strange layout regarding the placement of the electrical poles. They had the electric pole on the same side as the picnic table, grill and fire ring. If we backed in to hook to the electric our door opened to the other side. We made it work for us, but it was a bit odd. The sites are gravel with grass and an occasional tree separating each. There was some open grassy, common area between our site and the sites behind us. The electric sites are up on a hill away from the lake, so you couldn't see the water unless you went for a walk.
We had electric only at the site but there was a water fill station and dump station available. We had no cell service with AT&T.
We only stayed one night as we are on our way across the country. We wanted to stay at a campground that would represent New Mexico's countryside. Our drive to the park was scenic as we descended the mountain. I was glad we went there.
