For West - Meade State Park: We were coming from dry camping in New Mexico and needed showers. I knew that the showers on the the other side of the lake was not usable for me so we stopped by the post. I checked the water and it never got hot so no showers for us. The showers for the Lake Shore campground are nasty, filthy and old. The building is open to the outside and there are no doors on the building or the showers and no curtains. I went my privacy and will not take a shower were ANYONE can walk in and see me and I would not even know they are there because of the like of doors. I did check and that shower house had warm water.

For West - Meade State Park: All but one loop had muddy dirt roads and sites. Toilets are pit, not flush. A storm came through and electricity was off for hours. There are no showers that I could find.
Senior discount applies only to use permit, not the $22.00/night campsite.
Picnic tables are wood in fair condition.
This is more like a small county park than a state park.
