For Campground 3 - Clinton State Park: We stayed at the Prairie Clover campground where shade was a premium and mostly only available for short periods of time or none at all. Coneflower campground had many more sites with good shade. Neither campground had access to the lake, couldn't even see the water. There are boat ramps available so some folks had their tv and a boat. There appeared to be some like her term campers but we were only there as a stop over for one night. Weak 1 bar AT&T signal occasionally 2 bars LTE. Site was level and well spaced apart. Bathrooms/showers needed some attention and cleaning. It was a good stop over but wouldn't want to stay more than one night. They have a strange way of picking and paying for a spot after 330p when office closes. You can make a reservation but don’t have too.

For Campground 3 - Clinton State Park: Very nice state park campground. Sites were spacious and angled. Pads were gravel. Ours was not quite level but we were able to adjust. Surrounding land is prairie like, very green in May when we stopped overnight.

For Campground 3 - Clinton State Park: A large state park campground with many sites. Camping in several areas. I was unable to make a reservations because you have to do so more than 24 hours in advance. But I found several sites that indicated the sites were available for 1 day before someone had then reserved for a week. I alsolooked at the sites on Google Earth to confirm that they did not have significant trees and were an angled back-in where I could back in over left shoulder side. But they were classified as Walk-In. I arrived there and you have topay $5 just to enter the park. The fellow directedme to Host CheckIn site at Campground 3. I went there and asked about the site and was able to get for the night @ $24. Date September12, 2020. Campground was pretty full with trailers. Easy access multi-lane dump stations along main road as you exit from each campground area.

For Campground 3 - Clinton State Park: Stayed here long term for the holidays, Thanksgiving through Christmas. Purchased the annual camping permit for around $200, daily utilities after were $9. Water was shut off for the freeze, so only electric. Campsite was very quiet, lots of open spaces, lots of privacy. Some older units, but they are required to move every 2 wks, so there's nothing wrong with a vintage feel :). They took their time to blade the road after a bigger winter storm, so it was slick getting and out because the road is shaded. Entry into the state park is $5 or $25 for a year's pass. It takes about 15 minutes to get into town, 25 to get downtown. Great place to stay if you're visiting or doing business in Lawrence. Beautiful scenery, even in the winter.

For Campground 3 - Clinton State Park: We stayed at Clinton State Park in campground 3 section for 1 night. Although the camping fee is only $21/night but the hidden cost was $3 processing and $5 entrance fees, so our electric/water hookup cost us 29/night. The female staffer at entrance kiosk neither friendly nor helpful; abrupt and offer no park map. The kicker was you have to drive to a camp host after 4PM to pay for your site and not the host come to you. This campground lack orientation map and friendliness attitude when dealing with campers. Proper customer service training is desperately needed here. Our site is on gravel and not at all leveled, leveling blocks are needed here. WiFi? You must be joking! Decent LTE/3G for internet access. Bathroom is dated, but functional. Showers need more hooks and toilet small single roll canister ran out fast. OTA TV has 59 digital channels. 2 double dump stations located along the main park road. Would we come back again? Hell no! There are more reasonable cost and friendlier staffs where we are going.

For Campground 3 - Clinton State Park: Very nice park with huge lots. Water and electric at premium spaces. Beautiful trees at lots on edges. We had B158 and it was excellent. Seem like some long term grungy campers around. Go swimming at the beach. Water is nice as is sand and lake bottom. Liked it a lot.
