For Gold Mint Trailhead Campsites: We were looking for a place to stay that would be convenient to hiking trails near Hatcher Pass Road. We're self-contained in our 25 foot MH and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a weeknight in mid-July. This is a large paved parking lot with a number of spaces designated as campsites with picnic tables. The fee is $15. Most sites are level. There's a pit toilet. Although near the road, the parking lot is relatively secluded. There were 5 other RVs overnighting with us. There is some road noise, reduced at night. There is no ATT or Verizon signal. This CG is less than a mile from Archangel Road and several trailheads and 5 miles from the Hatcher Pass Summit. Camping is also available at nearby Fishhook TH where there's a nice view and a weak but usable ATT signal and more road noise.
