For Mora - Pecos Canyon State Park: Beautiful state park campground, most sites on Mora River. Self contained rigs only. 2 pit potties, very clean. Nice casual walking and hiking along Mora and Pecos Rivers. Cold with some snow on ground in early April. However, sites are not very deep - most trailers will need to have tow vehicle parked beside. Sites are just wide enough for that but not much more - so campers are pretty close together. Would give more stars except for this and most people using this site have their generators running near constantly, ruining the lovely setting and drowning out the sounds of the river. Although entry sign gives instructions for self pay of sites using envelopes, rangers remove anyone who did not reserve online. There is no internet or cell signal at this camp. Closest is about 18 miles down canyon in Pecos.
