For KOA Cape Charles Chesapeake Bay: We camped at this KOA on our way further south. We had only intended to stay overnight, but enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. Check in was very easy. It’s actually inside at the check in desk for the on-site hotel. The ladies there were very friendly and professional. We were escorted to our site and helped us back in. Sites are mostly grass with synthetic mats to drive your RV on. Our site was very level and did not require further leveling on our part. All of the hookups were in great shape. The WiFi and CATV worked well. We went to the on-site beach and it was very clean and relaxing. The bathhouses were very clean. We always saw cleaning crews at each one. The on-site restaurant was at the top of the beach area, and although a tad pricey, the food was good and the sunsets better. We walked around at night to check out the Halloween decorations other RVers put up. We will definitely stay here again on our trips south.

For KOA Cape Charles Chesapeake Bay: We’ve stayed here a couple of times, including before it was a KOA. It’s a great location with second rate sites. We’ll stay agile, mostly because it works distance wise from out home base.

For KOA Cape Charles Chesapeake Bay: Bath houses were gross. No trash cans at pool but the starched bathhouse has one that never got emptied. So trash was all over the floor in bath house. No staff at all checking in at pool or beach. Beach had trash piled all over it and a huge permentant wooden umbrella table knocked over and trash pulled all around it. Broken beach chairs, canopies, and ruined floats all piled around broken umbrella. The beach has no rules on leaving umbrellas or canopies overnight so the beach was always full with the same people because they just left their stuff there the entire stay. A lot of this is from lazy campers but this place need staff and management to set/enforce guidelines. Total free for all

For KOA Cape Charles Chesapeake Bay: Ugh! $65.00 for a non level dirt site and we were packed in tighter than Bob & Doug in the SpaceX Dragon capsule. To top it off they allowed two 45’ fifth wheels to maneuver around us at 10:30:pm for over an hour. Never again.

For KOA Cape Charles Chesapeake Bay: Good facilities. Rained like crazy while here for 1 night. Site was grass/sand/dirt but it worked. Not going to complain it was really raining. LISTEN UP FOLKS... when we left the following morning I had found a little restaurant (chef inspired) I had to try it. Only 8 miles north in Cheriton. Just past McDonalds take 13 business.... the restaurant is on the right, it’s called “The Local”. The best breakfast stop I think I’ve ever made. The food was AMAZING! I worried about parking (there is none) but the road is straight and I pulled right along side the curb, plenty of room for the RV & Toad. This is a must go, you won’t regret it! I rarely leave ratings. The only reason I did this time was to share this gem of a restaurant.

For KOA Cape Charles Chesapeake Bay: Beautiful resort with a ton of amenities. Spacious sites, the best park-wide WiFi I've experienced, friendly staff, private beach, and a restaurant right on the beach. Definitely plan to visit again!
