For Kelleys Islands State Park: This is one of the best Ohio state parks we’ve been to. Right on the lake. The small swimming beach is nice even though a bit shallow. Sites spacing is ok, some sites are right by the lake w/a beautiful view but also can be tough in rough weather. The bathroom/shower houses are good, the showers have normal sized shower heads and great water pressure. There are two yurts and two tiny cabins right by the beach that look like fun for groups. There’s a place to put your boat in if you have one, and we saw quite a few kayakers and fishermen. The ferry ride over w/our 25’ RV was interesting. The ferries are small, there must be a size limit, but we did see trailers pulled by RVs and pickups. Be prepared, there are fun bars and restaurants in the small town, but not much grocery shopping. The trails along the NW side of the island are very cool. Cut over from the dirt trail to walk along the stone coastline as long as the lake isn’t too rough and you stay off the private property. Beautiful!!
