For Ocotillo Wells SVRA - Holmes Camp: Just returned from a week at Ocotillo Wells Off Highway Vehicle Area (OHVA). We stayed at Holmes Camp because we have never boon docked (no hook-ups) for a full week and wanted to have bathrooms and showers nearby if needed. It was an excellent experience! It's an established camp with covered picnic tables at each sight and a big fire ring, we didn't feel cramped at all. Our 3 grandkids under 4 years old had a large track to ride their little electric quads with lots of room to spare for our 38' motorhome and our daughter's 19 foot trailer and truck. We brought our 2 Jeeps and 2 quads and had a blast riding on the countless trails all over the park. The one downside is we had next to zero cell service, that's the only reason we wouldn't stay there again (or maybe we would?). There are other camps near the main highway (78) that offer showers as well as a cool little museum called the Discovery Center that the grandkids also enjoyed. The Desert Ironwood Resort is close by and has a little store that offers essentials including ice cream, laundry and a dump station ($20). They also have water and propane for a fee. It's an older trailer park but we were happy to find ice cream in the middle of nowhere. Blu In Park is also nearby and looks to be a newer RV resort with a restaurant. We only saw it from the road but all the rigs were in neat rows, way too close together for our liking. ATV's can be rented in several locations along 78. No length limit when you're boon docking! We camped at the H6 cabana with a 38 ft motorhome, 2 jeeps, a 19ft toy hauler, tow vehicle and 2 quads...lots of space!
