For BLM Huckleberry Campground: Well kept and maintained CG. Heard price is going up to $60 a night in 2025. This will increase a problem I observed; multiple families or parties in a sight. The sign at the entrance states 15 persons max per site and up to 4 vehicles. When I was there last week there was already a lot of this going on, next year and coming years will be worse with higher rates. This leads to too many people in the CG and lots of unsupervised kids running around screaming at all hours. This is the future of camping, raise rates and multiple people cram into the sites.

For BLM Huckleberry Campground: Nice campground located on a wedge of land between the road and the St Joe River. There are trees and vegetation. Sites are generally well spaced and screened from each other, except for a group of three near the west end. The sites are large with fire ring and picnic table. No tent pads but most sites had mowed grassy areas big enough for a tent. Sites have electric and water. There are several pull-through sites. Most sites are long enough for long RVs. There is a dump station. Road through the campground is paved, as are the sites. Sites on the south side of the access road are close to the highway and traffic. Although the CG is along the river, many of the river edge sites are not in view of the river, due to vegetation. Sites at the west end have river view and access. There are several vault toilets, which were clean and well stocked. Firewood for sale. Wi-fi near the pump house. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Minus one star for proximity to highway and road noise.

Melissa
For BLM Huckleberry Campground: I grew up in this area and will always call it home. My husband and I stay here almost every year on our way to and from Alaska. Very well kept. They recently moved to a reservation system for all but 4 sites. They also raised the rates to $26-$31 per night, 1/2 off with National Parks Pass.
