For Beothuk Family Park: Stayed here for a couple of nights on our way back home from a 3 week camping trip on the west coast where we visited several parks. in this park the camp sites are lovely. They are in the trees with lots of privacy from other sites. Each site has a fire pit and are fairly roomy even with our large trailer. The park was quiet and we explored the park on our bikes. I camped here as a kid but much has changed. I did find the nearby abandoned lumber camp which was an interpretative site long ago when the park was a provincial park and the area was maintained by the government. Everything was boarded up and in disrepair which was sad. We asked about the dumping station when we checked in and was told that someone would be there on the morning of check out to hook us up to a honey pot and dump for us. The day of check out no one was there and we discovered that the "dump station" was an area in front of the bathrooms which looked like an abandoned site. We had to back our trailer into a grassy area and my husband was not impressed.

For Beothuk Family Park: Giving this park 1 star is generous. The lady on the front desk was rude, snappish, and she ignored myself and my friend mid-conversation while we asked her if there was any availability for tent sites. She tried to charge us the $8 full day fee despite the fact the we simply asked at 5:30pm if we were allowed to enter the park to choose our site, upon her saying that few were available. She snapped about “people being dishonest” these days, and that she would not let us through without charging the $8 fee. She also complained about how understaffed the park is. Unprofessional, rude, and abrasive. Insinuated that we were dishonest people. Very unhappy camper.

For Beothuk Family Park: I go camping almost every weekend and Beothuk Family Park is where I go the most. Everything is top-notch and the owners really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The park rules are enforced to make it a really safe, family-oriented park. I see a lot of the same/regular campers there all the time, so I'm sure they would all agree with me...great park, great place, great people.

For Beothuk Family Park: Camped at Beothuk park and my nieces purse got stolen and we reported it to the owners and he got defensive and evicted us for the weekend because we complained. Campers beware there are thieves going from site to site
