For Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Roadrunner: Great campground with electric and water hookups. Some of the sites have great views of Lake Pleasant. Nice lake for kayaking. Very strong cell signal on Verizon. Only minor downsides are some boats can be a little loud on the weekend, nearest grocery is 15 miles, and the dump station is over 2 miles away if you’re using a honey wagon.

David and Cindy

For Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Roadrunner: I posted a review earlier but this place is so great, I need to add more. Great Security. Each camp ground requires a code to enter. This makes one feel very safe. Showers. Even though in my last review, I criticized about the push button on/off of the water, and no control of hot and cold, one night the shower head was broken. I was impressed that it was fixed by the next day. Amenities. No Campsites have individual sewer. There is one dump station able to service 2 campers at once. Campsites are Developed (electric/water) for $32 a night plus an $8 fee or Semi-Developed (just electric) $25, or Shoreline camping sites (no service). $15. Shoreline is interesting. There are many great areas you can park your RV, trailer, or tent and boondock, and then use the dump station. Each campsite has a picnic table with cover and a fire ring. And a garbage dumpster located in each camp area. The area is conveniently located. 10 miles off I17 where there are many stores and gas stations. 15 minutes to Sun City West. And just down the road a couple miles is a bar/restaurant.

Happy Travels

For Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Roadrunner: This was a very nice desert campground on the edge of the beautiful Lake Pleasant. We had reservations for site 12 which was supposed to be a 57’ site but because of the boulders across the street from our site, we could not maneuver our long-bed truck with 36’ foot 5th wheel into the site which was also uphill. We called the office and she was very nice to give us the other sites that were available for the 3 nights we needed and we were able to get a pull-through (but we had to pay a second charge for making another reservation). It was adjacent to the roadway but had a large bush between us and it, and it was very nice—not noisy at all. We didn’t use the public facilities. The wind was very high on the days we were there (late May) so we couldn’t use our kayaks on the lake as planned. But the drives were nice and we saw several wild burros. We would definitely stay here again.

BigMo

For Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Roadrunner: We stayed in site 28 in a 32 ft class A. Backing in was tight because of the ramada. The hiking in the area is great and we availed ourselves of it. The rainy weather prevented us from enjoying the views and hikes. The cell coverage for both Verizon and AT&T was superb. Our hotspots functioned well. The bathrooms were typical “regional” style with open airways to the shower and restrooms.

John

For Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Roadrunner: 4 stars as there is no potable water for dry campers (or boaters!) Outside faucets at restroom have their handles removed. As mentioned by othrs there is none at the dump station for the slinky. This is so unusually & strange for a park on a huge body of water.
Our neighbor dry camper drove up to the showers and was told by a camp host that he did not having the correct hang tag to be using the showers! Apparently the $12. dry camping fee does not include potable water use of any kind.

Lori

For Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Roadrunner: 3/10-3/16/16 Site #56. Back in, a little narrow due to the ramada over the picnic table. Just had to watch placement of camper in case we wanted to use our awning. This site had neighbors fairly close on sides and in front but no one behind us. Actually was a shortcut to the very nice restrooms and showers. Hot water, great pressure and private shower rooms. No soap dispensers in the bathrooms so you had to remember your soap for restroom visits too. Electric and water at site. Dump station between campgrounds. Sites(10,11,13,15,16,18,20,23) on East and West Hawk loop overlook the lake and more space. No recycling containers which was disappointing. Several nice hiking trails. Saw wild burros two days. Nature center is closed for renovation. We stayed in a 32' travel trailer.
Day trips: Spring training game in Surprise, hiking around Lake Watson in Prescott, Az(very cool rock formations!), and Phoenix(try Most Wanted Taco-yummy!).

Bj

For Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Roadrunner: We had a basic site(no hookups) on the water. Nice site and clean after we policed the area. There in an RV dump site but NO potable water available. Bring a "water thief" to fill your tank at the faucet near the restrooms.
Also, Very Important! When checking in be sure to get a map of the campground area and directions to your site. We spent 45 minutes driving around looking for our assigned spot.
