For Wild West RV Park: We pulled in late after driving all day. Office closed. Note on office window directed us to register and pay online. Easy registration. Very nice young man came out and helped direct us to a very level pull through site with full hook ups. $35/night using Good Sam discount. Well maintained, dirt/gravel park. Mostly long term residents in this well kept, quiet park. Excellent water pressure. WiFi supported fire stick. We didn’t use any amenities or facilities . Unfortunately we were too late to go to dinner at the El Capitan Restaurant. We could see the sign from our spot. Probably walking distance but not super close. Restaurant parking lot full so I’m guessing the positive reviews were correct. Overall we would definitely come back and recommend to others. PS: trains nearby but didn’t bother us with A/C running.

For Wild West RV Park: Had a great experience here. Bathhouse is small but really nice showers. Owners were super nice and accommodating when we had to switch sites to be able to pull out. Highly recommend. Nice restaurant within walking distance.

For Wild West RV Park: We stayed in this park when it was Desert Willow so things may have changed a bit. When we stayed there there was only one of those overnight drop boxes but it was all there was 24-7. It worked fine for us. At that time it was a Passport America Park and we were paying 1/2 price. It is nothing more than a large gravel lot with RV sites. Nothing fancy, just a nice, clean, safe overnight spot. We stayed there and dropped the motorhome for an overnight trip to Carlsbad Caverns. No Vacancies in Carlsbad because oil workers had them full, so we dropped the motorhome here, connected to electricity and headed to Carlsbad where we stayed in a motel and returned the next day. We do not use amenities so I can not comment on restrooms, showers, wifi, or any other amenity we just do not use them. Yes, we would stay again but we know and understand this is NOT an RV Resort but a clean, safe overnight stop that is priced right.

For Wild West RV Park: A kind gentleman named Moises and his wife Lully own this RV park. Moises greeted me upon arrival and we walked to the office so I could check-in. He asked for my name and then began writing it in a large book. It immediately became clear that there was no record of my reservation. This was quite surprising given that I had called 2 months earlier to make one! Luckily there were plenty of spaces available. Moises had mentioned that they bought the park recently so perhaps they are just learning the ropes. He has added a nice dog park and planted quite a few trees. We stayed in dirt pull-through full hookup site #41 and it was level. Good water pressure and the 50+ cable channels were nice. At first the free wifi was slow but on our last day it suddenly became blazingly fast. It turns out that a fiber wifi system upgrade was completed on our checkout date, so this should bode well for future guests. My AT&T phone had 2 bars and the hotspot wifi worked ok. Park bathrooms and private showers were super clean. Office has books so we donated a few of ours for others to enjoy. The McDonald Observatory and Guadalupe Mountains National Park are about an hour away from this park. We visited both during our stay and they were awesome. Warning: loud trains blow past this place 24 hours a day so make sure to bring your earplugs!
