For Tipsinah Mounds Park: This is more a lakefront resort than a city park with all the lakefront sites occupied by seasonal residents. Family oriented with boating/swimming/fishing being the main focus. I snagged a pull thru for a Friday/Saturday stopover on way to the UP. W/E hookup was $50/night! Pretty high for a “city park.” Bathroom/shower house is clean and well maintained. It’s fine but not my cup of tea. Wouldn’t stay here again

For Tipsinah Mounds Park: What a great campground! We’ve tried others in the area and they were crammed. This is a very large campground with beautiful walks & wildlife. We saw a deer & fawn right in front of us! The playground equipment for kids was super nice, and bathrooms very clean. The manager was a really nice guy. The only neg would be all the permanent sites...but I think that’s the culture in Minnesota — people rent spaces as their “summer cabinâ€. Regardless, it was safe, clean, and really well managed. We’ll be back again!

For Tipsinah Mounds Park: Well done and clean park. Friendly manager too. Worth a little drive for it.
