For St. Albans Roadside Park: Views says it all. It would have been wonderful to watch the boats go by but it was not to be. All 3 sites taken by 1:30 PM on Sunday. The 3 sites were small, very close to each other and electrical boxes looked like wires were escaping. The neighborhood was a public part with an older Kroger store across the street. But again it would have been fir the views

For St. Albans Roadside Park: Thank you, St. Albans, for a comfortable night’s stay! We didn’t expect to find a FREE campsite here. The sites are paved and level. There is electric hookup. There’s a dump site and fresh water access. There’s a park building nearby with restrooms. Great river view on one side. The highway on the opposite side is busy and noisy, but the traffic really dies down around 8PM (at least on Sunday). The only real downside was the noise from the local yokels drag racing in the early evening. Altogether, it was a good deal. We’ve paid $70 per night for less!

For St. Albans Roadside Park: Pulled in full. Looks like older trailers that stay longer.

For St. Albans Roadside Park: Little town park with 3 RV spots about 50 ft long but there’s room to park your tow or toad next to camper; 30 amp electric, potable water fill and dump station located right on the river. Small playground and a nice sidewalk along the riverfront. Can’t ask for more when the cost is zero, free, nada!

For St. Albans Roadside Park: Their are four pull through RV spots spots overlooking the Kanawha River. The camping area is at one end of a City Park that includes a play ground, picnic area, and boat launch. The park is between the river and Highway 60. There is a grocery store and multiple fast food restaurants across the highway.
