For Riverbend Campground: We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July. We saw some negative reviews, but chanced it anyway. We found the park to be very pleasant. It was definitely a little further from the highway, but we didn’t mind that at all. It was very quiet most of the time. There seem to be a good number of permanent residents who have added flowers and landscaping around their sites, so the temporary sites seemed more private than many of the places we have stayed. However, there is a freight train rail line not far away. We were there during a warm and humid spell, so we ran our A/C all the time, and the noise didn’t bother us.

For Riverbend Campground: This place is terribly managed. A tree that was rotten fell in our campsite almost crushing a dog and crushed our chair. They offered 12.95 refund then Rhonda the manager refused to give it after I patiently waited for them to process the refund that never happened saying I waited too long.(2 1/2 weeks) She was rude and very unprofessional. I do not recommend staying here. Poorly maintained and The Artillery fire all through the night is just great to

For Riverbend Campground: Not only are there trains at all hours, blowing horns, they started falling trees and running a chainsaw at 8:00 AM in the morning not more than 50 ft from our RV site! Never coming here again for this noise and paying for it.

For Riverbend Campground: The sewer hookups seem to be for the residential sites....none of the overnight sites have sewer hookups nor 50 Amp service (only 30 amp). We could not back our 41 ft 5th wheel into the site that we were originally assigned to...fortunately, we were allowed to park in the next site over. The parking pads are gravel and are not very level. The real kicker is the bathroom/shower facility. There are only two toilets, and ONE shower, which will cost you TWENTY FIVE cents a MINUTE!!! There is a dump, fortunately. There is noise from the highway, trains, and planes from a nearby military facility. The neighbors have cows, chickens and roosters, so if you want to sleep in a little, be prepared for the rooster wake up calls....

For Riverbend Campground: Dump sites are communal. Trains going at night with horns. Road to campground a little rough.
