For Ingalls Homestead: Fabulous. I am not one for tourist traps. But this place is thoughtfully done and faithful to the history. They really try to make it a nice experience for families and Laura Ingalls fans. They have an original claim shanty from another family from back then and they put in a dugout house to show what that looked like. One of my party is disabled and they let me use one of their golf carts to get her around. We came when there were few people here and I am sure that helped. I am past the time where I want to be around classes of kids.

For Ingalls Homestead: This campsite was just adequate. Shared power pedestal and water with neighbor so only one 50a available. No sanitary dump, just a grey tank dump site oddly placed on a steep downhill grade. Booked 2 nights, left after first. In late September 2021 but the need to do some fly control as they were horrid. Wouldn’t suggest staying here. Stay at the state or county parks near by and do the homestead as a day trip. FYI - the road to the site is unpaved, washboard and dusty!
