For Firemans Park - Volunteer Fire Department Memorial Park: July4, 2024: Drove through but was not impressed. The entire facility is very primitive and shows signs of heavy use and low maintenance. The small handwritten sign says camping is $10 per night. I saw no posted limit for staying and several campers looked like they had been there for at least weeks if not longer. There were some vacant sites but I didn’t stay the night. I looked at the rv dump ($2 charge) but didn’t use it. It’s a square concrete box with a rectangular metal lid in nearly the middle of the campground loop (dirt/gravel) road. Apparently you lift the lid and dump into the concrete box below. The area surrounding the dump box is lower than the surrounding road surface so there was water pooled around the dump box. There was rinse water available next to the dump box from a faucet and hose, prominently marked non-potable. About 8 feet away from the dump rinse water faucet is another faucet with standard hose threads marked potable water. I saw no separate fee for getting only potable water vs dumping. I also saw no way to pay the $2 dump fee other than finding the camp host. I couldn’t tell if there was even a camp host on site. The dump is easy to find since the campground is so small, and there was a sign showing the dump to be open daytime hours(8am to 5pm). However it looked like the sign showing the hours was easily changed and possibly changed often. To sum up, this is a good resupply point for freshwater, a possible wastewater dump site if you really need one, but the decision to stay in a site would definitely be a matter of personal preference or perhaps need. I would not use the word pleasant to describe this campground.

For Firemans Park - Volunteer Fire Department Memorial Park: Nice dry camping here. Dump is only open a couple hours in morning and evening.
