For Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground: I’ve only stayed in the tent sites here, which were empty and basic. They were only $14 a night, which included admission to the Petrified Forest and museum. The gift shop has lots of cool weird stuff, and if you’re into crystals, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
The bathrooms are also very minimal, but there’s a shower, and although they aren’t surgical quality, they’re better than some motels I’ve stayed in.

For Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground: The campground had a site available for the evening. The campground is rolling hills, many units appeared to be seasonal. Our site was a little uphill which is perfect for us.

Carolina
For Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground: Called for reservations. All monthly campers there. Kind of sad, since there are only 15 sites.

For Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground: We stayed here last week after our original destination was evacuated due to flooding. The ground was saturated since they just got 8 inches of rain, but no problem getting into the site (6). The site was not perfectly level, but was close enough with some wood blocks. The site was full hookup with 20/30/50. The campground is part of the petrified forest site. The trail and gift shop were very nice. It took about 45 minutes to walk through the trail with two kids. I would stay there again if going back to that area.
