For Big Rock Campground - Forest Preserve: This was a lovely campground. It's only been open for 3 years so improvements are still being made. The sites are very large and there is lots of room between sites. The 50-amp electric worked fine. The water hookup also worked fine but the spigot is far behind the RV. Bring a long hose. The campground host was very friendly. We were directed to pick a site then he came over to check us in. There is no sewer hookup but two dump stations. No laundry or wifi. Trees are small but growing. There is also an area set aside for horse trailers and riding trails.

For Big Rock Campground - Forest Preserve: Quiet place. Trees are very small and don't provide any shade. Friendly staff & friendly campers. Locked myself out last year. The ranger went way out of her way to help me. Surrounded by farm fields and the forest preserve. No playground. Great sunset views, picnic tables & fire rings. Campground address is 46W499 Granart Rd, Big Rock IL. Jericho Rd is the forest preserve, not the campground.

For Big Rock Campground - Forest Preserve: Great spot! First come, first serve but there were lots of RV spots through the weekend. Wide paved roads and gravel sites. Very well taken care of. Would be nice if they had more trees but still give them 5 stars. An hour depending on traffic from Chicago.

For Big Rock Campground - Forest Preserve: Huge, well spaced sites , in an area that is about as convenient to the Chicago metropolitan area as you can get.
