Steve

For South Channel - Muskegon State Park: We enjoyed our stay at this campground. The second loop sites are spaced farther apart than the first with more trees and growth between sites. Beach close by and dog friendly the shipping channel is interesting and a nice place to walk. Shower house clean and water hot, 5G verizon

For South Channel - Muskegon State Park: Spacious sites. Not too crowded during the week. Some have pretty good privacy. Sandy sites with concrete parking pad. Clean showers. Water refill stations are close. Great warm water beach with calm water. Lake Michigan dunes are about 3/4 mile away and are fantastic.

For South Channel - Muskegon State Park: location is awesome and there is beach on the lake next by which is awesome. but! sides are too close to each other and with no privacy. so if you want to have some go to the second park 7min north

Johnny Rambles

For South Channel - Muskegon State Park: One of the nicest state parks in Michigan! Sites are large and all within a few hundred yards of the water. The park borders Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake along with the channel between the two. Shore fishing is excellent with seasonal opportunities for Salmon, Walleye, Whitefish and more. It gets crowded in the Summer, but by September there are often plenty of sites to choose from. About 1/4 mile walk or bike ride from the camp sites to the beach on Lake Michigan and there is a small beach area on Muskegon Lake as well.
