For Dyess AFB FamCamp: Traveling across the country in our travel trailer. Very clean, easy pull through, close to main gate. Easy to get to right next to the hospital. Only 24 sites mainly long stays. We had site #1 very close to the nice clean restrooms/showers. The commissary was very nice to restock essentials. Would definitely stay again.

For Dyess AFB FamCamp: The FamCamp and facilities are well maintained. There is much to do both on base and in the Abilene area. The staff were very helpful and available. I'm sure reservations can be had but it maybe best to call ahead. Most of the camp has long term users but it appeared 2-3 sites were dedicated for short term use. Over all, the Dyess AFB FamCamp is awesome; wifi was the best (5 stars). Definately recommend this FamCamp (short or long term).

For Dyess AFB FamCamp: Rv park was small and located by the front gate of 277. The park was clean and well kept but small. This camp could be made a little bigger with room that it has. Located next to the Base Hospital. The restrooms needed some TLC and the hand held wand needed to be replaced. The commissary and Dave exchange was near by and was typical for a small base. So everyone knows the rv camp is by reservation only not your tipicle first come first serve AFB famcamp. Last resort famcamp

For Dyess AFB FamCamp: Had a great 2 night stay at Dyess. Very clean Famcamp - the grass is cut & trimmed, the bathrooms were very well kept and the laundry room was clean. 3 washers/dryers, $1.25 each, all in working order - including the change machine. Great WiFi. Easy in/out from main gate (Arnold Street). The base has a well stocked commissary and exchange, and the first gas I’ve seen under $3.

For Dyess AFB FamCamp: Stopped off here for 2 nights while traveling across I20.
Fairly small FamCamp with mostly active duty on site.Nice bathhouse and laundry room, however no hot water in either due to leak. Camp sites are level concrete pads with picnic tables and grills.approx a mile and half to BX and commissary. Really just an average so/so camp but extremely pricey for military
FamCamp at $35 per night. Have experienced much nicer with more amenities at other bases much cheaper. Would stay again as stopover but their rates should be adjusted.

For Dyess AFB FamCamp: Clean and level lots. Not a big campground but certainly a place that we could come back to. Lots of construction going on right now making it pretty difficult to get back to the campsite if you are in a big rig. Once they’re very clean and level. MWR (Office) is not physically on the Pham camp so be prepared to walk a distance to sign in. There is no turnaround available at the office or do not drive to the office to register.

For Dyess AFB FamCamp: Use the side gate (Tye Gate). Be prepared for heavier security measures (no biggie really). Had to get a visitors pass for the wifey as her military ID expired. Not a huge ordeal but did take some time to complete. The site is very nice and well maintained. Very pricey though ($35.00). Not far from commissary and the exchange. Btw, there is no Starbucks on post as some goggle searches show. We will definitely return!
