For Grasshopper Creek Recreation Area: A very relaxing out of the way recreation area. Owned by TVA but leased and managed by a very nice couple. Most sites have electric, but only 50A so you'll need a converter dogbone for 30A hookups. Also has water and sewer connections. Boat ramp on the premesis. Well kept facility but sometimes difficult to get a spot so call ahead. Great fishing for bass, bream and cats. Ice available for $2.50 per 10# bag. Closest convenience store 6 miles away but Walmart is around 20 miles distant in either Dayton or Cleveland. Animals welcome but must be on a leash and you will be asked to leave if dogs bark excessively inside or out. Spots available by night, week, month or season. Campground open from April 1st through Oct 31st. My wife and I have spent a season there and absolutely loved it for its peaceful quiet surroundings. If you're easily bored you'll hate this place. If you are into relaxing you'll think it's heaven. Non denomination church service held each Sunday. No pressure to attend.
