For Cavitt Creek Falls Recreation Site: This is a nice small campground with large sites, and good foliage between sites for decent privacy. I was in #3 by the river and it was beautiful. No camp hosts when I was here. Water available from spigots throughout the campground. Parole who depend on solar have limited choices due to forest canopy, but there are sites that get good sun if the sun happens to be out. However, since this campground has gone 100% reservable, you will have no idea which sites those are. Also, almost all the sites were reserved when I was there, but I was the only one camping. It was a rainy few days, so I guess people just decided to lose their money. Sad that this is the way it’s gone in the camping world. Now, someone who happens to need a spot for the night is out of luck because all sites were reserved and only me there. Such a shame how greedy campgrounds have become.

For Cavitt Creek Falls Recreation Site: BLM phone number claims the campground is first come first serve. Hosts claim it is reservation only. While the tags showed that none of the sites were booked for the night the hosts posted a campground full sign.
The were rude people helpful and clearly did not want to deal with campers. They are simply parasites benefitting from BLM’s camp host system.
