For Threemile Campground: I stayed just one night - 6-9-25 - before entering Yellowstone and going on to Grand Tetons. It is right off the highway into Yellowstone, but you wouldn’t know it from where I camped. I could have happily spent more time here. My site was level and very near the fast flowing, rushing river, which could be glimpsed through the trees. It made for a perfect white noise in the background, a very relaxing and peaceful stay. Sites were well spaced and all the vegetation and trees around each site made it seem more private. I did not use the restrooms, so cannot comment on them. It is bear country and they do require hard sided vehicles only here, no tents. So, be bear aware. There was zero cell coverage. I have Verizon. The water is at the end of the campground near the camp host’s site, but you cannot fill your fresh water tank with it. I spoke with a ranger who was passing through and he said that for people staying at one of the nearby forest service campgrounds there is water available to fill tanks at the Rex Hale NF CG about 10 miles away.

For Threemile Campground: Only a few miles from the east entrance to Yellowstone. A few pull thru sites. Nice. Great views.
