For West Bay Camping Resort: I stopped here overnight on my way to the U.P. I don’t make a lot of reservations, so I appreciate a place like West Bay whose voicemail message says something to the effect of: “If you’re calling for a same day reservation we have sites available! If we don’t answer, come and select a site that doesn’t have a tag on the post in front of it and you can pay in the morning.” As it turned out, there was a pleasant person in the office who handled my registration. Please note, they do not accept credit cards. My site had full hookup S/W/E 50 amp and 110 electric only, but I always carry adapters with me, so I used my 50 to 30 amp adapter. My site 39 was deep and wide enough for my 25’ class C and required leveling under 1 tire only. It was easy to back into. There are boulders, but that’s just the natural terrain. Just watch your step! The resort was celebrating Christmas in July the weekend I was there. Everyone was in good spirits. There was a potluck dinner, a Christmas movie at night and lots of decorations. I have no complaints for as brief as my stay was! West Bay is pet friendly!

For West Bay Camping Resort: Pros:
*Very wooded area
*People in the office are friendly
*Sewer available at the site
Cons:
*Extremely narrow sites that are difficult to back into. I was not able to open both the slide-outs and awning. Lots of boulders to contend with.
*Sites very close together
*Electric is either 20 or 50 amp. If you, like many, have 30 amp service, you need to bring your own adapter. Would have been nice to know that before arriving. Had to go to town to buy an adapter.
*Cannot pay via credit card. Needed to mail in deposit.
*Not very kid friendly; tiny playground near the office
*Cannot bring in your own wood, even if bought locally.
*Large "No firearms allowed" sign as you drive in.
