For Mendota Park: This park is located in a very nice area and situated close to many attractions around Middleton. We stayed 3 nights on site #8 which was very easy to back in to. Most sites are gravel and very level. Most sites have large shade trees. All sites are 30 amp electric only. Power posts are shared with your neighbor. Bring an extension cord. Each site has a fire ring and aluminum picnic table. Fresh water and dump location are clean and convenient within the park. Campsites are a short walk to a small sand beach and gorgeous view of Mendota Lake. There are a couple of pavilions with charcoal grills with tables, basketball courts, horseshoe pits and playground equipment for the kids. All seemed in good shape. The restrooms and showers are free and adequate. There are even campsites that allow well protected boat parking on a seawall in a small canal within the park. Over airwaves TV reception was quite good. We got over 30 channels with a standard roof antenna. We will definitely stay hear again!

For Mendota Park: Nice park and well located. We pulled in during the week with no reservations and had no problems, and this was the week of July 4th. The power pedestals are strangely spaced so I had to run an extension to our pedestal, but the one site on the other side of the loop was closer not an issue if it's not busy, but weird. Bathrooms are a bit old but serviceable and no wifi but the cell signal was fine. Great park around you and the camp hosts were excellent.

For Mendota Park: This is a pretty Park, lots of trees and shade. Two minute walk to the lakefront. Not far from downtown Madison. I would've given it a higher rating however, there is some road noise from the city road during the day. Most sites are hard for a big rig to get into. No water or sewer at the sites. There is a dump station and a place there to fill up on water before you go to your campsite. Some of the electric boxes were as much as 50 feet away from the campsite. Probably would go back here if we were visiting Madison. We took an Uber car into downtown and went out to eat. Paid around $15 for that ride. $27 for the campsite. We camp there in a 40 foot motorhome.
