For Copper Falls State Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Copper Falls. Getting to the campground was good. The roads in the campground are paved and in good condition. The trees are all well trimmed. The campground office was NOT open and we saw no one for several days. Small camp store is available. There is a large parking area near the office. No escort to site. The road signage to our site was good. Sites have fire pits and they sell firewood. Our site was 15, a back in site with a dirt drive and dirt patio area, with a picnic table. The site had a good view of the woods. Our site was not level. We used every block we own to get it level. The site was dry. All sites are only electric only. The campground has no seasonal folks. All the sites are dirt. There is no bathhouse, just an outhouse. No running water other than a few water fountains. There is no laundry. No pool but they have a beach at Loon Lake. No rec room. No workout fitness room. The grounds are very wooded. No cable tv. No over air antenna. No Wifi. Limited Verizon cell service. So the bad is they only have dirt sites and ours was not level. No bathhouse with water. I would come back. I would prefer to stay at the other sites such as 14. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well...

For Copper Falls State Park: Beautiful park. we were in a 20 ft travel trailer in site 1 and had plenty of room. Used the showers about a mile away and found them clean and plenty of hot water Don’t miss the hike to Copper and Brownstone falls, good trail and steps to deal with elevation changes. Fire wood was $7 so so got our wood in Mellen just a few miles away.

For Copper Falls State Park: Camped over the Labor Day weekend and the park was full, but with the dense trees and separation of sites, it didn’t feel crowded. Very nice sites and the hikes to the falls were wonderful.

For Copper Falls State Park: We were here on a Sunday in early October, in a 24 foot trailer. The leaves are all in full color, so it’s beautiful in the campground. The sites are far enough apart to feel private. We were in an electric site in the North Campground. South campground is nonelectric, very shady, and tight. Only put toilets in the campground, but a shower and flush toilet facility about a mile away, near the dump station. We wanted Site 30, because there are no other people nearby, and since it’s cold, we really don’t want to listen to someone’s heater all night! Yes, some people are clueless enough o leave theirs on all night! The elderly woman at the office wouldn’t let us have it, even though there was no tag and no sign of occupancy, because, if they left early, they didn’t tell her. She was snotty with me earlier, when I said I wasn’t sure if we wanted electric or not, but she made me choose before she would continue to help me. Think she was just a crab apple! We hiked around Copper Falls, and it was really fantastic, especially with the colors. Loon Lake was also very pretty, right now. The “lookout tower” view is mainly obscured by tall trees, and the Red Granite Falls loop was disappointing, there were no falls to be seen, although we could hear the water rushing.

For Copper Falls State Park: Beautiful park, sites are somewhat close to each other at the north campground. Pit toilet was "ok". The shower/restroom building at the south campground was very nice and very clean. We stayed here in late Sept. and would stay here again! A little tight for larger rigs but difinately doable. The Dollar General just outside of Mellen has EVERYTHING you could need should "needs" arise.
