For Camp Murray Beach: I had called three times to get a hold of the camp inorrder to make reservations. There was no answer nor any return call I showed up and I counted six empty slots. The camp host was no where around but his assistant host was there. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to make reservations on line. When I looked in the military camping guide and the web sight that has all camps on it gave only the phone number and did not inform you you had to do it on line. Therefor the camp host was not accommodating or had no suggestions he simply told us we had to leave. Now I have been to all kids of military famcamp and have never been asked to simply leave. I would not stay here or any other Washington guard camp it was last one the unprofessional attitude he could not have been in the active military I have not run into a camp host like that. He needs to get his bearings straighten out.

For Camp Murray Beach: Tight getting into the facility. Campground is also tight as road entering the grounds is essentially one lane road. Maintenance of the campground is poor and appears to be accomplished by the host and assistant host. Restrooms were dirty, with very little cleaning being accomplished. Four families were staying in site C-4, over the 4th of July weekend. The host and assistant host were no where to be seen. Host and assistant host, lots appear to be more squatters that workers. It’s really to bad. This park has potential but the Washington NG really needs to take this campground seriously and make some positive changes.

For Camp Murray Beach: Great location by American Lake. Tent and RV camping. RVers need to make reservations early as this park stays full. Larger RVs fit well on C row but might have issues by the water on A row or in short spaces on B row. "A" row has the best view and access to the beach and river but, you have everyone and their dogs walking thru your camp area. The goose poop around the "A" row area is something else to put up with. Community satellite dishes for DirectTV and Dish are available at most sites but not a guarantee. Tree coverage limits satellite reception at most sites. Mostly level gravel sites with grassy areas, picnic tables and fire rings. Nice place to stay. We stayed here in a 43' motorhome. Recommend taking exit 122 off I-5 for easy access.

For Camp Murray Beach: We love this campground. Delightful and beautiful. Easy to enjoy. Small. Nice. Can be hard to get sites for roof-top antenna but could easily live there with pleasure. Not all amenities but that is why RVs were invented, isn't it?
