For Dungeness Recreation Area Clallam County Park: Great little county park on the edge of the National Wildlife Refuge. The campground has a nice set of bathroom/showers, we did not use them but showers take quarters. They looked clean. Spaces are mostly wooded, and there are no hookups, so don’t plan on using much solar unless you are able to squeeze out enough sunshine. We are about 55 feet long hooked up (5th wheel) and there were a few tight spots along the road with trees, but other than that, bigger rigs can certainly fit here. There is a mix of small and long spaces and they are private. Generator noise is going to happen here. Only one small dump station but in good shape. Lots of walking trails along an ocean bluff and access to the Dungenous Spit which is also a nice hike on the Puget Sound. This place is near Sequim and Port Angeles, and Olympic Penninsula NP. There is a lot to do near here and I could have stayed a lot longer. I will come again.

For Dungeness Recreation Area Clallam County Park: This park is lovely, very well cared for. Some sites might be a bit heavy on the shade for some folks. Site size and privacy is pretty good. Bathrooms are clean and smell good.
A little WiFi would be nice, just to check messages and maybe book other campsites. But there is always the library for that.

For Dungeness Recreation Area Clallam County Park: Great park!!! We stayed here at the end of June, in site 56. It got sun from around noon to 4. We really enjoyed not being full sun in the morning or evening since we couldn’t run the AC dry camping. It was well secluded so the neighbors aren’t “in your face†even though we could hear them. Parking up against the driver side curb made our rig perfectly level. If you need water, you will have to drive through loop 2 twice. There is a faucet to attach a hose to and fill your fresh tank on the left side of the road just before the outside exit of loop 2. Dump is free when you leave. We paid $25 per night plus a $10 online reservation fee. Campground is only 10 minutes from Olympic Game Farm. A must do for all ages! We stayed for two nights. On the first day we dropped the trailer, had a quick snack, spent a couple hours doing Hurricane Ridge, then got Frugals for dinner on the way back. Relaxed around camp and did the spit on the full day in camp. Before heading out the last day, we did the Olympic Game Farm first thing when they opened then came back to have lunch before leaving. We took 3 loaves of 100% whole wheat bread thinking that was plenty but bought 3 more there. Seriously, 8-10 loaves is totally reasonable. We were the first car there so the animals were hungry and very entertaining. Great weekend!!!

For Dungeness Recreation Area Clallam County Park: Well maintained with large sites. Pay showers are a bargain at 25 cents for 2 minutes and with large flow rates. Great distant views of ocean going ships on the straight.

For Dungeness Recreation Area Clallam County Park: Nice clean spots, well attended to and fairly private. Our spot had sun most of the day. Others have a fair amount of shade which might not suit the sun lover.

For Dungeness Recreation Area Clallam County Park: We got here on a Thursday morning, because they have about half of the sites no reservable, so if you get there early enough, you might be able to snag a spot for a weekend. The sites are mainly fairly private, but most are pretty dark unless you're lucky enough to get one in the banana belt around the low teens, number wise. We are in a trailer, so are always at the mercy of sunshine to charge our solar panel. There's a bluff walk or a spit walk, that will take you to a lighthouse at the end, in 5.5 miles. You have to be mindful of tides. We laid on a picnic table last night, to watch the Perseids showers at 2 am. You have views of The Strait of Juan de Fuca, Vancouver Island, San Juan Islands, and so much more. Last night, it was beautiful seeing the lights of Port Angeles and Victoria! We are here for 3 nights, and if I am ever in the area again, I would consider staying here!
