For Salt Creek and Tongue Point Recreation Area: Great location, OK campground, over priced. As of 2024, non-county residents pay $45 w/o hookups, $55 w/, all year. Water turned off in winter.

For Salt Creek and Tongue Point Recreation Area: Very nice campground, site 54. On peninsula, overlooking the bay, nice clean bathroom, single m/f showers with hot water 25 cents for 2 minutes. Interesting WWII bunkers, walk to beach, no hookups, on hill.

For Salt Creek and Tongue Point Recreation Area: Arrived on 2-22-22 planing to stay 2 weeks. Site 32 second row from the front with a view of the strait. Campgrounds email says 27 ft long and the next site is 5 feet away. I could barely fit a truck and camper into the site for $458. Electric only with water turned off for the winter. Mercifully few other campers here so I so far have had no neighbor if I did their campfire would be by my side window 15 feet away. Each site has a fire ring and table even though they probably shouldn't give how tight the sites are. Sites all paved but not level, large puddle formed at entrance to my site. Close to bathrooms, which I did not use, but are maintained regularly. Apparently coin shower. Don't expect a beach at the main campground, as beach access via salt creek, a short drive, on Crescent beach which is privately owned. You can use it for a fee. Gate closes at 9 no entrance key so you have to walk in after hours. Weak Verizon cell phone coverage picking up Canadian towers and roaming. AT@T MIFI worked most of time but roaming. T-mobile MIFI got no signal. Some over the air TV channels. Port Angeles has a good Anytime Fitness with a clean shower with towels which is unusual.

For Salt Creek and Tongue Point Recreation Area: Lovely little park. You can make reservations but if you are like we are you never know exactly where you are going to be on any given day. So, the first row - 15 spaces - is first come first serve. People are in and out of them all the time. We were fortunate to be there during some spectacular weather and the views were astounding. There is lots of hiking/mt biking, great facilities - free dumping for campers, grassy play area, kids playground. Yes, the sites are a bit close but we never felt like it was to tight. There are 2 campgrounds and the first one has the unobstructed views and utilities. The second one is a bit more treed and does not have utilities. This is a spot that is well loved by locals.

For Salt Creek and Tongue Point Recreation Area: Great campground right on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Campsites are a little small, but paved with a bit of grass and picnic tables. There are washrooms available and a dump station, free for campers. Only complaint, the price is a little high for off season at $30.00 a night. Deer wander through the campgrounds during the evenings and do not seem bothered by campers.
