For Black Pine Lake Campground: Great spot, only 18 miles outside of Twisp. We got here on a Wednesday afternoon and the campground was empty. A few people were in the day use area with Kayaks and Floats. Great place to camp. We‘ll visit again! We did not use the facilities and we did not need water, so can‘t comment on these.

For Black Pine Lake Campground: I happened to find this while exploring the area in my 25 ft. RV. I saw a recreation area sign in Twisp pointing to Twisp River Rd. I had some time to kill so I decided to go see what was out there. Turns out it was 11 miles out this road before I found another useful sign that said 8 miles to this campground. I had gone this far, so I continued on. For the first 4 miles of this 8 mile road, it is paved. Then, for the last 4 miles it is gravel although a nice gravel road with only a few washboard areas and a few pot holes. Once at the end, I was glad I came. This is a remote campground but well maintained and very beautiful with lots of trees for shade. I didn't stay here, but the sites looked nice, level and there were a lot to choose from on a Tuesday in July. I wanted to see the lake, so I went to the day use area and parked. The lake is stocked with trout so if you are inclined to fish, which I was, get out your pole and walk down the path to the beautiful, new fishing dock. A little girl next to me caught three fish while I was there on her cheap pink little girl's fishing pole. All about 8-10 inches. I caught nothing. The lake is not large, but big enough to take a little boat or kayak on and have a great time. If you don't want to go onto the lake or fish, there's a beautiful well maintained and easy trail around the lake. This was a beautiful surprise to find at the end of a long road to somewhere unknown.
