For KOA Lynden: Seattlemommy is spot-on. While we didn’t stay on these spots, they should really not be rented out. Pool is loud and no shade. Our spot, 143, is much nicer. It’s under a cedar grove and far away from pool, laundry, and entrance. Sites are clean and people seem to follow park rules. This is heavily used by families and the pool which is small is packed. Up to 1/3 of the guests seem to be very long term guests. Heavily treed. Laundry is $5 for wash and dry total.

For KOA Lynden: Beware of booking a full hook up back in spot, specifically spots 1-5. Half of these are basically located in the parking lot/road. We were placed right next to the pool on pavement with a little grass in the back. I can't believe they consider those campsites, and some of the other spots I'd have a hard time believing anyone could back in to. I'd rather stay in a Walmart parking lot. We left within 30 minutes. 2 stars because they were willing to give me a refund and the grounds looked decent but I can't comment on anything else.

For KOA Lynden: Beautifully landscaped entrance. Area around the lake was crowded and teeming with activity. If you prefer a quieter and less congested stay, ask for a site in the back. The nearby town of Lynden has a charming Dutch feel - complete with Windmills.
