For Eagles Nest Resort: Huge bumps in the access road - be careful! On exit, the huge billboard blocks view of traffic coming from the right. Only 2 working dryers in the laundry room. Pull thru sites in phase 1 are very narrow - we have slides on both sides as did the units of both sides of us. There was just enough room to walk between the units. The pool building has insulation falling from the ceiling and the windows look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. Mini-golf looks like it hasn’t been maintained in a while. Rules are not enforced - we saw clothes lines out, heard kids screaming in the pool and jumping in. Also, no pool toys allowed. We did not go inside any of the cabins, but the exteriors look like they are in need of serious cleaning. The whole place looks sad.

For Eagles Nest Resort: When you arrive there is an abandon admission booth that should be torn down. After you arrive at the top of a steep hill there is a treeless campground with gravel level sites that have WiFi you can purchase. This is tier 1 campground. Tier 2 campground is on the a decline. The trees are scenic but the campground is old and tired. The sites are close and are not level. You have to rake the 2 inches of pine needles and search to find the sewer cap. I was told that some of the tv cable doesn’t work but my site had some reception. There is a cell tower nearby and I had two bars on my Verizon phone. Before you book read all the extreme rules and be prepared for other rules when you arrive. The staff is friendly and it is one of the better campgrounds for this region. Enjoy the stay and be bear wise!

For Eagles Nest Resort: Located right outside Cape Disappointment St. Park, this large, private mostly wooded RV park was pleasant. Sites were roomy, grassy and surrounded by trees. Restrooms were okay…until the park’s water system failed. No showers, no toilets, no water at campsite for over 24 hours. There’s no WIFI and the cable TV hookup is poor. So all in all a pretty crummy camping experience and it was expensive.

For Eagles Nest Resort: We have a 40ft fifth wheel. The pull-through site is a bit tight but we managed to get in. The major issue is the mosquito. You probably could get away with it by requesting a site close to the campground office. Those sites are not in the woods but it would be much hotter when the sunlight is strong. The campground is close to Long Beach and Cape Disappointment State Park. In general we are satisfied during our stay.

For Eagles Nest Resort: Tidy camp sites but a bit tight beside each other. Thankfully, there was no one beside us for the 2 nights we were there. The place needs some work - the pool house is looking pretty tired. The bathrooms are self contained, clean and heated. Good laundry room. Very easy access to the fabulous Discovery Trail. We were there in the off season so, nothing is open in Ilwaco. Long Beach is a short drive and has great restaurants and attractions.
