For Alder Lake Park: Generally Alder Lake RV park is well maintained and laid out to provide a non-crowded experience. The asphalt sites are a mixed bag; most back-in site had significant slope in both directions with some deep depressions near the perimeter. Recommend carrying additional blocks for stabilizing and tongue jacks. Pull thru sites seem to be more level side to side but are narrow and curved making slide placement a possible issue. There was one Toilet/Shower building for the CG, it was clean but small (1 toilet, urinal & 1 Shower on men's side) with additional buildings in adjacent day use areas. Showers were coin operated (50 cents for 6 minutes). Burn Ban applied to park fire rings and day use charcoal grills; only outdoor cooking allowed was propane grills/griddles. Trash cans conveniently located for all sites but only had recycle bins for aluminum cans. No park Internet and Verizon cell service was "LTE 3 to 4 bars" but very slow and inconsistent. There was an ice machine at the park entry but it sported an "Out of Order" sign during our stay. There was a 76 station in Elbe that had ice and reasonably priced supplies/gas. Our site had leak in water connection, 40 psi but low flow in shower. Local POI is Mt. Rainer which is NOT part of the CG rating. The National Park is part of a pilot program for "timed entry tickets" which are difficult to reserve online at $2 per entry ticket. The Sunrise side of park does require reservation but when making reservations the web site shows that they were not released until mid August. Some hikers we met said they are released the night before which I did verify Thursday morning and there were 2 tickets for the only entry time shown, 9 to 11 AM. Even with entry time tickets there is a long line to reach the park's Nisqually entrance; Monday it was over an hour, Tuesday about 30 minutes, and Wednesday 10 minutes for the 1 to 3 PM entry. Per the Park Ranger, plan on an hour for weekdays.

For Alder Lake Park: Clean and well maintained with a friendly staff. Some sites offer more privacy than others. Beach was nice and the nearby dam was interesting to see.

For Alder Lake Park: Clean park with a freshwater beach, okay playground, and a short walking trail. Great location if you have a boat for bass/Kokanee fishing or water skiing. Very friendly staff.
