For Grandy Lake Park: This is my husband and I’s favorite place to camp, we stay 7-10 days at a time 2-3 times a year. In the past we have always been tent campers although we are very excited as we plan to move to a trailer or RV this year. Anyways, it is very quiet and peaceful (yes there is road noise but that is to be expected near a highway). The lake is warm and refreshing and we always meet like-minded friendly people. If glamping is your style and you need utilities this is not the place for you. Our T-Mobile cell phones work great and my hot spot will power my computer so I am able to get work done and you can’t beat $10 a night for somewhere I can still work!!!

For Grandy Lake Park: Stayed 1 night: $10, and lots of people trashing the place: no ranger checking on camp sites during afternoon to evening, when campsites are for campers only. A sign, clearly says day use folks are not to occupy camp sites, yet they do. I can only assume that it was locals hording the best campsites up until almost 10pm, leaving behind their trash in the fire pits; makes no sense when there were trash cans in multiple places. The road noise is loud on busy Baker lake road as PSE uses it, along with lots of forest service people, and of course hikers and campers heading up to the multiple sites a few miles in. Just down the road near Hwy 20 is evidence of vey trashy RVs and tarped camping spots. I would not feel safe hear leaving anything out, as this neighborhood has a reputation from Concrete to Marblemount: too bad for such a gorgeous area.
Other than that, it’s on a river with birds and frogs, but much of the view is also clearcut from logging: so sad.

For Grandy Lake Park: Stayed one night just for a cheap stop. The site is situated between a creek and up against very busy Mt. Baker Lake Rd. There is no water, a single portapottie and mosquitos. It was $7 for tent camping and about 50% full on a Friday night in August. It suited my needs, but there are far better campgrounds 20 mi up the road at Mt. Baker Lake.
