For Whispering Pines RV Park: We camped in the original section. Lots of beautiful trees. Our site was gravel with a water and 50amp electric. The site was long and level. The volume of noise from I-90 was surprising but did not hamper our enjoyment of the campground. We camped here in a 40’ Class A towing. We would definitely stay here again.

For Whispering Pines RV Park: We stayed overnight in a site with electric and water. The site was long and wide. All sites are gravel and dirt. There was no grass between the sites. The campground borders right onto the Yakima River. There is a nice Riverwalk. However, we were shocked by the road noise from interstate 90. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are nice. However, you must pay $.25 for every three minutes you use the shower. The sites appear to be fairly level. We found the interior roads to be narrow and difficult to back in to our site with a 26 foot motorhome. We had two bars of AT&T and three bars of Verizon cell service with very good Internet connection. We did not try the campground Internet.

For Whispering Pines RV Park: Enjoyed this spot for a quick 1 night. WiFi is great. Kid was able to do remote learning and I was able to remote teach from our spot with no issues.

For Whispering Pines RV Park: The park is definitely well taken care of, we enjoyed our weekend getaway. We have a 36’ TT and did not have any issues getting into our spot. We took the kids on the river walk trail, which everybody enjoyed. With COVID the staff was able to accommodate and keep guests safe. Park has games such as horse shoes and B-ball. The only bad was the sewage hook ups. I wasn’t sure if we were allowed to use our spot hook ups and when I checked with the lady at the mart, she didn’t seem to sure. If they fixed this one issue it would be 5-stars. Still a great stay!

For Whispering Pines RV Park: We stayed here one night, passing through, around 2013 and it was rustic but nice in the pine trees. The location is strategic for our last night on the road.
We are here tonight, July 2020, for that last night before home. We notice big improvements, and see where new owners bought it in 2017. New bathroom building, a new club house area with patio and furniture-damn the C-19, cannot use. They have shooed out the permanent residents, so that is great. A nice pond, with water quality good for swimming, paddling or just watching. A trail along the Yakima River.
We are impressed with the new owners doing improvements, and will certainly return when needed. We have also suggested it to friends.
You will hear freeway noises, but after awhile it becomes white noise, or as we call it-sounds of a rushing river.
We would say to disregard reviews before 2017- that was before the new owners. We wish them well, you are doing a great job, and we look forward to seeing this place progress.

For Whispering Pines RV Park: We just checked in a few hours ago, and we are totally pleased by the office staff and our campsite that we “booked†just 2 hours before our arrival time. We got lucky as we previously have earlier in our road trip, so I would always recommend making reservations well in advance. No extra points for getting the last open site in a campground. Great WiFi here, as we are hooked on Homeland.

For Whispering Pines RV Park: Besides the sites being small and ours was not level, and the highway noise, my main complaint was the men’s bathrooms which were not clean. Worst of all, the showers, which were coin operated, did not work (didn’t find this out until I was stripped naked and eager to take a hot shower - there should have been a “not working†sign!) There were two showers and neither were working. I told the manager (male) about it and he said something about waiting for parts... This was Labor Day weekend - those showers should have been working. I also told the female manager about it and was told that they would make the showers free - that didn’t happen. We love the Cle Elum area but won’t be staying at this RV park again.
