For Larrabee State Park: Location. Location. If the train tracks bother you, might want to skip this one. But the campground is within easy walking distance of the spectacular Salish Sea coastline and across the road from a wealth of hiking ang biking trails.

For Larrabee State Park: Terribly loud due to proximity to train tracks.

For Larrabee State Park: We camped for three nights here, in February. Taking into account the water was off at the sites for the winter, we did enjoy the location. Some of the sites are great and quite a few have extreme slopes. So much so, some units might be challenged to get level (larger;longer units; fore and aft). Our site was quite level and I think during busier times these sites may be picked up quickly. Short walk to a beautiful beach and great views. Depending on your tolerance level, some may find the train proximity troubling. Knowing it is there and coming a few times a night, didn't bother me much (reminded me of the Polar Express movie). Bathrooms were okay. Could use a bit more cleaning, both in frequency and extent. Certainly the conditions may be due to time of year. I highly suggest that those towing standard width or wider trailers approach the campsite from the north, as the road south out from this location has some tight sections, out to I5. Hosts were very pleasant and helpful. Three stars due to bathrooms and the number of unlevel sites (and because some may not have liked the Polar Express ;-) We stayed with a 20ft Hybrid Trailer (folded out to 27').
