For Coolidge State Park: This is the first Vermont campground that we have not liked. As with all Vermont state park campgrounds, the sites are widely spaced and private. But to get to them, you need to drive up a very steep, narrow access road, and the tent loop road is even steeper. I’m guessing grades of about 15%. Our Transit-based Class B did OK, but I wouldn’t want to drive anything larger. The driveways into the sites were at right angles, making it more difficult to back in than it really needed to be. The sites are way off level. This campground is best suited for tenters and very small trailers with appropriately-powered pickup trucks.
