For Mountain View Campground: We have a 43 ft Toy hauler fifth wheel and they have plenty of room. Campsites are spaced out and kept well. Great amenities, really nice showers and bathrooms and laundry! We did not get to use the pools but one says it is heated and a hot tub. We stayed a week and would have loved to stay longer. Great location to Stowe and a rail trail and surrounding areas. Right along the Lamoille River where people floated in tubes. We will be back and highly recommend this place. The owners were so friendly!

For Mountain View Campground: This is a return visit for us and it is a wonderful place to camp. The entire campground is immaculately well cared for. They have two pools, mini putt, shuffle board and will rent you a tube for the adjacent river for a slow float. The RV sites are well spaced and grassy. The location is very clean convenient to Stowe (20 minute drive). It is a 15 minute drive to Hardwick Trails which has a terrific mountain biking trail system in the woods behind the HS and a 5 minute drive to a smooth packed Rails to Trail path that goes a great way. This campground is a find. Only ding I could give it is that you hear the traffic from RT 15 but the river view negates that for me! :)

matt
For Mountain View Campground: we have had a wonderful 9 day stay at Mountain View Campground. (late april 2019)
the sites are spaced slightly above the norm and are easy to level up with just a little effort. great power quality and water pressure with no odor.
great placement of power, water & septic.
good wi-fi signal around the whole camp. and functional speed for basic tasks.
it’s a smaller facility but well laid out, and with 2 pools, it is more capable to handle guests than most campgrounds we’ve been to.
the owners are wonderful and you can tell they are working hard to keep this place clean and classy.
beautiful sunrises over the nice river in back.
every site has a picnic table & fire ring.
negatives, are no pull throughs.
but there just isn’t enough land here to do that.
convenient town 3 miles away with a couple grocery stores as well as Enterprise car rental that routinely picks up at the campground. (which we used during our stay)
and, of course, some of the most amazing hikes & beautiful waterfalls around the Stowe area.
some campgrounds are relaxing destinations and some are just powered-up parking lots.
places to sleep while you go out for adventure.
Mountain View Campground is the former.
we had a unique situation where we were looking for a campground in the Stowe area that was opened at the end of April. Even though the camp wasn’t officially open for the season yet (and was busy getting ready) they still let us come.
we look forward to returning one day in the summer or fall so we can experience the campground in warmer weather.
we are traveling in a 40 foot class A.

For Mountain View Campground: Mountain View Campground was the closest one we could get into near Stowe, Vermont and the owners are very friendly and helpful and the amenities are great.
The sites are big and grassy and it’s just a short walk to a lovely river where you can tube and explore. At night, you can see a huge blanket of stars - that’s incredible!
They have two pools (one for adults only) and a hot tub. We were surprised we’d use it but it was nice after hiking all day. The washer and dryer area was very clean and in great working order.
Negatives: They were doing road work on the way in which was difficult especially with the coach and you could hear some traffic noise on the road in the mornings.
