For Fort Chiswell RV Park: Great overnight spot with easy on and off from I-81. Very quiet, pull through sites, around 10 spots were concrete pads and others were gravel. The only negative we found were a lot of long term/worker sites that look trashy in the back and scattered thru the park.

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: Nice pull through spaces, clean pool complete with cows in the background, conveniently located next to the interstate, and super quiet. Will definitely stay again.

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: We decided to stay based on the reviews we had read, and they were spot on. Tidy sites, clean facilities and restrooms, easy on/off from I-81. Reasonable price. The bonus was the many sheep, cows, and horses roaming the pastures behind the campground!

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: We have stayed here before and were on our way south. Pulled in the night before "snowmageddon'. Woke up to snowing for two days. Spent four days here. Personal were friendly and especially helpful. Plowed us out and went out of their way to help us. Highly recommend.Date of stay 1/26/16

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: I also arrived late at night. Office was closed, but signs said pick a site and check in with office in the morning. This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have been to in a while, and the bathrooms are THE nicest (and cleanest) I have used. They even have music in the restrooms. The manager/owner is very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

For Fort Chiswell RV Park: Arrived late Friday evening and parked in a pull through. Met with the desk folks the next morning and they were very pleasant. Facilities were extremely clean. Level gravel pull through spaces with all the necessary hook ups. Picnic bench on a concrete slab next to each space. Clean swimming pool. Great spaces for you pet along with a fenced in area to run (no gate but a small bridge over a creek to keep your critters in). Real quiet!!! Located real close to a Flying J fuel station and if you have family visiting, there is a Hampton Inn a few hundred yards down the road.
We met with our son and daughter-in-law so we went out to dinner Saturday night. If you visit the park you must try out the "Log House" 520 E. Main Street in downtown Wytheville. 1700's real log house with great food. Prices are on the high side but the food was great.
Over all Fort Chiswell gets five stars for a clean and quiet place to stay. Not much there for small kids but depending on your camping requirements, it worked for us.
