For KOA Holiday Virginia Beach: We didn’t have the best impression or experience at this KOA. While the site was “fine,†there were enough negatives that we would not stay here again. The positives... there were trees and a nice laundry and store and they had a lot of Christmas lights up for a drive thru show. But a couple things really turned us off. First, although there is a sign on the door and it is required indoors in the area, only one employee at the front desk ever had a mask on. And there was no distancing. Second, we had a big tire rut in our spot filled with mud. It was expected to rain quite a bit while we were there. We nicely requested them to fill it to minimize further mud and were told not only did they not have filler (okay, that’s fine), but they “don’t do that†and if we want to fix it ourselves, go ahead. Sorry, we don’t carry a shovel and rake, but they had no less than five guys riding around on golf carts doing maintenance. We didn’t understand that. Finally, when you first drive in, there are rows and rows of permanent residents that have no requirement to keep their sites neat. Short term campers are in a separate location, but it doesn’t give a good first impression.

For KOA Holiday Virginia Beach: Stayed in a nice back in water electric only site under a nice shade tree area was pretty well manicure
lots of nice older cabins and some newer cabins. Same with the bath shower houses
one shower house had just a shower and the bathroom on the the ends. These are just shower stalls only. No sink etc.
the end the other one was a combination shower with a sink and toilet which was pretty nice cuz they're all quite a bit larger than you can move around in them.
They have a newish looking game area near the office that was nice but need more lighting. Some of the games were harder to play in the evening when it got darker because of the poor lighting it would be nice with some better lighting then you can see the games and the kids can play longer.
The shuttle runs from may their September and worth the cost.
There is a combo of yearly monthly weekly and daily camper's u come across.
2 pools and lots of stuff for kids and adults.
Rental bikes and other riding items
Nice place close to beach but a bit pricy.

For KOA Holiday Virginia Beach: Nice campground -clean bathrooms, new games area (ladder ball, bocce, ping pong, horse shoe etc). There is a shuttle to the beach (did not use that... We were staying for another event). - overall, nothing negative to say, site size is pretty typical for KOA's will be back.

For KOA Holiday Virginia Beach: Typical KOA with lots of activities for kids. Staff was friendly but we did have some problems buying a KOA membership. We are glad that we checked the receipt since they had my first name, last name, street no., street, zip and phone number wrong. When I went back to the office to have it changed they gave me a number to call to have it changed. I would have appreciated if they would have done the corrections instead. We have not felt joining KOA was worth it since they have more frills than we need, but since we are traveling full time if you stay in one for a 6 days it will probably pay for itself and it gets the cost down some.
They did have Wi-Fi. The strength was great but in over a year of travel my speed test was the slowest that I have ever had. .01 Mbps download and .00 upload. I did test it again at 4 a.m. and I did get a speed of 1.06 Mbps download and .09 Mbps upload. At 9 a.m. this morning it is 1.52 Mbps and .02 Mbps.
They did have very nice individual showers and they were very clean and nice. I didn't use the showers after my wife reported that her shower wasn't hot enough. I think each shower has an individual instant water heater so it might have only been a problem in one shower stall. I also realize my wife takes a hot shower than I can stand.
I did like the fact that their seasonal RV sites were separate from the daily sites. If you are military you are also very close to the Navy Commissary and Exchange both of which are off base so they are very accessible.

For KOA Holiday Virginia Beach: The staff member that checked us in was not friendly at all, she was upset that I asked for a site with no trees, even though that is what I requested in my reservation. She definitely does not have the customer service spirit. We were put in a site that had a huge tree that towered over the RV and dropped tons of leaves on it. The site was short and messy, dead leaves everywhere, dirt and weeds. Had a rain storm, huge puddle of mud at our door step. Certainly not what you expect for $87 a night. Will never stay again.

For KOA Holiday Virginia Beach: The main office closes way too early, the water smelled terrible, loud jets flying over all the time, the jump pad was disgusting and covered in mold, staff was friendly and the place has potential. I will never stay here again.

For KOA Holiday Virginia Beach: HUGE campground with street after street of RVs, cars, trucks .. people everywhere. Very fun for families, I'm sure, but not the place you want to go if you want quiet. They have every amenity you could ask for. The bathrooms are air conditioned which is a HUGE plus in my book, but the stalls are tiny. You can barely get the closed door and I'm a thin woman. The water pressure is awful because they divert it to water slides for the kids. The staff is very friendly and they have a daily shuttle to the beach for $8 for a full day. The WiFI was pretty good. It was unfortunate that there are long term sites with many very unkept and look abandoned. We were there on a Saturday night and they had a bubble machine which I'm sure made the parents' very happy when their munchkins came back to camp clean. They also have a huge water slide and a jumping pillow. Looked like a lot of fun for kids and I bet parents appreciate all the activities so they can relax. Not my cup of tea, though. Too many people. Too many cars. At 3:30 in the morning on a potty break there were still parties going on.
