For Lewis Mountain Campground - Shenandoah National Park: Please correct my review from last night. I had not seen the showers here and had assumed they were like the ones in loft Mountain. They are very different. Please use the following review instead that has only four stars. First come first serve small campground. Quiet and friendly Tuesday evening, August 6, 2024. Mh Site had asphalt parking that was level, site three, with the new metal picnic table and a large bear proof metal food locker. Private co-ed dark old wooden $5 shower/bathrooms smelled like rotting, wet, moldy wood. Spiders and cobwebs. Newer plastic shower stall with cloth shower curtain wet from previous user. Quarter machine is very worn and difficult to use. You have to throw the quarters in very hard to make it work. It has electricity so you can do your hair. Two out of 10 wooden pegs still exist to hang your stuff & it has a large wooden bench.

For Lewis Mountain Campground - Shenandoah National Park: Nice treed level sites With grass instead of shrubbery everywhere… kind of a nice change. I didn’t see any sites marked reserved so the entire park might be first come first serve. No tact because I came late and left early. Bathrooms are clean with soap, dispensers, air, dryers, and electric outlets but no showers. You can buy a shower ($5 for 10 min.)at the Camp store and also wash clothes there. Bear proof, metal food lockers at each site besides a nice new metal table and grill. Mh Site was asphalt. This campground also has cabins and those are reservable. Nice and quiet, even though there were children. $15 with golden Age pass. Entrance into Shenandoah national Park is free with the Golden Age Pass.
