For Old Cranks Campground and RV Park: Campsite is $43 per night for a grassy hillside on Railroad Avenue right in downtown Galax.
There is a nice museum here that is rarely open even though it’s posted with regular hours.
I was here for the smoke on the mountain barbecue competition, July 26,2024.
The campground was quite full and it looked uneven and noisy, so I didn’t stay.

For Old Cranks Campground and RV Park: Easy in, easy out. Level spots. Good full hookups. Quiet and secure. Quaint little town of Galax within walking distance. Lacking resort amenities but priced accordingly. Attached museum very interesting. Nearby access to Blue Ridge Parkway.

For Old Cranks Campground and RV Park: Here for the 4th of July and we are the only people camping here. Owner is nice and helpful. Park and restrooms are ok. It is very convenient to downtown and the galax access to the new river bike trail. It isn't an RV resort but I would stay here again. Price is good.
