For Gooney Creek Campgrounds: Convenient location to Shanendoah and Skyline drive. Nicest sites are right up against the creek. Place has lots of fun character. Only downfalls are the campsite is really close to the main road (car sound) and they have bright street lights on the campus (not very dark at night).

For Gooney Creek Campgrounds: This was the perfect campground for us. It’s close to Front Royal, VA which had ever supply you could need. It’s about a mile from the entrance to Skyline Drive/Shenandoah National Park. It had full hookups for a third the price of everyone else! They only accept smaller camping units. Very charming creek. Quite , and campsites with plenty of shade. Camp host was very kind and accommodating.

For Gooney Creek Campgrounds: Nice little camp ground. No major frills but right on the creek. We were the only ones there and the kids had a blast. This is not a concrete campground but a more authentic camping experience. Electric sites are 20 AMP and water. Looks like two had sewer but we opted for water front. Bathhouse and outhouse were functional but didn't try out much. There is a dump station on the way out that we used for no additional charge. Owner is a very nice lady and I can say that without a doubt we will be back again more than once this summer.
