For Emporia Campground: This is now a KOA, and meets/exceeds KOA Standards. Sites are a little tight width wise, but a lot of long Pull Throughs making for easy in and out. Clean rest rooms and overall the small 175 site campground is well maintained. Maybe not someplace for a month stay, but a great overnight pull off just off I-95. Will be making this my snowbird travel stop from now ony

For Emporia Campground: Stopped overnight. Near 95 easy off and on. Bathrooms were clean and spot was level. Would definitely stay there again.

For Emporia Campground: First time staying here, the couple that ran it were friendly and tried there best to help out as much as possible. It rained the whole time there but they made changes to the scheduled events the best they could. Our kids loved it and want to go back.

For Emporia Campground: I really enjoyed my overnight here. A younger couple runs the Place and they have made a ton of Improvements. Everything was clean and everyone was friendly! I would definitely stay here again!

For Emporia Campground: Nice older campground set in the woods. Road and Site pads are gravel. Bathhouse showers shared a changing area. There is a pool, mini golf, and good size playground. Pleasant place for an overnight stop.

For Emporia Campground: We don't have small children we r retired. We stayed here because the Pickens r slim off the 95 Interstate for campers. I don't know how this campground got such a good rating. Nice owners is good but what they offer is more important. The rate was way to much for what we got. If I wanted to hear a train all night I would have rode one. The water pressure was low & we were on top of each other on what U would call a parking spot looking @ old trailers in storage. Yes real nice view. Well Yogi waved @ us as we drove in great if I was a toddler. We have spent the last 2 months traveling through Fl and we r heading home now. Very disappointed with this camp. Only 1 shower worked in bath house. I could go on. I understand people have financial obligations but we felt like Hobo's @ Jellystone

For Emporia Campground: This one is a hard one to review because they do have great amenities and the staff is very helpful. We stopped for a one night stay while traveling through. When we got there they had a hay ride for the kids, birthday cake for Yogi's birthday, we played mini golf and went swimming. There was lots to do for the kids and I could tell ownership really cared about making it a fun family experience. Also, they have a great little camp store and there is a fire pit and each campsite.

And here's the hard part for me to explain because this little campgrounds offered so much. We felt overall the campgrounds did need a little more work. The comfort station was shabby and one of the two showers was inoperable due to a clog and had standing water in it 4 inches deep that was there for the duration of our visit. There was a bag of trash in our fire pit when we arrived, left from the previous guests. The campground has an arcade room but we were disappointed because the claw machine wasn't stocked. They do offer a nightly movie in the theater room but we were sad to see that the movie was projected on the side wall that was only comfortably viewable from one love-seat.

I did talk to the owner (who was very nice) who told me they bought the place a few years ago and they are constantly making improvements. The current ownership put in the mini golf, jump pad, splash pool and new cabins. And I have no doubt that they will keep working on it.
