For Champs Campground: Big and asfalted sites with clean aluminum picnic tables. Big common fireplace. Camp is well taking care of. Very clean rest area, laundry, one of the cleanest bathrooms we’ve been to, good water pressure, plenty of hot water. Quite camp in the middle of nowhere which leads to only negative point of almost no T-mobile signal, no commissary, no base stores near by as it’s a purely training base. But WiFi works ok at the RV center/rest area. $35/night, all reservations and payment are made via phone

For Champs Campground: The park is rather nice with only a few items keeping it from getting a 5-star rating. The roads are narrow and the turns into and out of the park are tight for our rig, which is a 45’ fifth wheel. Other rigs, not as big, have no issues getting into and out of this park. The grass needs mowing, the lid for the electrical box was laying on the ground, and narrow pads are the only complaints we have. The positives are $30.00 per night for full hookup, safe and sound on a military base, lastly the peace and quiet.

For Champs Campground: This by far is the cleanest FamCam that we have stayed in. I highly recommend it. The bathrooms and lounge area are very clean. The campground is well kept. We have stayed at other FamCamps are us one is the best by far.

For Champs Campground: Fort AP Hill Champs is an awesome camp. We stayed here in Early March 2022. Reservations were easy with the very pleasant staff. The camp was very easy to find from main gate on AP Hill drive. It is very evident that this is newly renovated/built. The sites are generally level, with paved pads, full hookups. Those passing through are generally placed in the center pull thru sites and those with extended stays are on the perimeter. Picnic tables at each site. Camp has communal fire ring and there is a pavilion. Their best feature is the RV Center/bath house. It is new, beautiful and PRISTINE! They obviously take great pride in this facility. Shower/bathroom area is immaculate with plenty of hot water. The lounge has couches, tables, TVs, WiFi, tables/chairs, coin-op washer and dryers. Only reason 4 stars is minimal shade but non issue for us. Great camp!

Christmas
For Champs Campground: Enjoyed the Campground. WiFi exist in dayroom like area. But it isn't extremely fast or strong. The sewer, electrical and water are not always laid out so you reach them from your rig. I had to use an extension cord and extra hose to reach my utilities. They do have some short cement pads for your RV. Mine is wide enough to keep me off the grass. The shower and laundry area was very nice and clean. The dayroom has some comfortable couches and a TV. They do have a lot of deer on the post, so if you come in at dusk keep your eyes open. The guard at the gate informed us that the office is behind the RV storage area. The staff and the full time people were very friendly.

For Champs Campground: Nice quiet campground. Really nice bath house / recreation center. Mostly full-timers, but all very friendly. Paved pads are short, but you can back off the pad for additional room. Only a few 50 amp sites. Most have 20/30 amp.
