For Americamps RV Resort: what a wonderful time at this park. Owners keep the grounds immaculate and the beautiful landscape make it enjoyable to look at. Our large pull thru site was more than accomadating for our 38' fifth wheel dispite the trash and maintainence building right there. Also the freeway noise is loud but a wall was recently built to help. We were lucky enough to be there for a fall festival right next to us which included free band, food truck, beer and icee. Made it a great time. Very close to wineries and shopping too. will definitely stay here again!

For Americamps RV Resort: We had really enjoyed staying here. Tracy was extremely nice, but Colleen was incredibly rude. The campground is nice, although some of the long-timers were a bit snooty if you walked/drove around the campground. The site itself is great. We parked on a concrete in the front. Level site. Only drawback is the noise from the interstate.

For Americamps RV Resort: Very easy after-hours check-in. Reasonably priced with very nice facility. Sites were well marked. We only stayed one night on our way south. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Lynn
For Americamps RV Resort: We stayed two nights in mid Jan 2020. What a difference compared to the KOA we stayed for two nights near Fredericksburg! Site was level and long enough to accommodate our 19’ trailer and Suburban. Complimentary waffles, coffee and orange juice the two mornings we were there. (Very tasty, and the “waffle chick†as she called herself, was delightful). Bathhouse was immaculately clean. There is also a dog park, but it was under construction and muddy while we were there, so we didn’t use. Management was very responsive to a concern we had about an aggressive dog on our row, as well as to a request we had. We didn’t have Good Sam at the time, but they honored a AAA discount. There were a fair number of folks who seemed to live there full-time and all areas were nice and tidy. Only detraction was a bit of road noise when we were outside. Would highly recommend.

For Americamps RV Resort: Very nice campground! We’ve been traveling for 7 weeks and these are the nicest bathrooms we’ve found! The management and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The sites are large and level with lovely trees. We stayed in November, so we kept the windows closed and didn’t hear the traffic. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

For Americamps RV Resort: I'll admit, I'm pretty free with my ratings, but anyplace that exceeds expectations is a 5 in my book. While it is a bit pricey, there just aren't that many RV campgrounds near Richmond and they seem to plow a significant amount back into the campground. The breakfast is a nice touch, the staff is friendly, and the grounds are constantly being improved. The free WiFi rates in the "really good" category since it's free and you can still use it after 5pm when everyone starts streaming (download your shows overnight or in early morning for best results). Lots of local air TV and halfway decent cable. The laundry facilities are smallish, but good and the nice dog park has been completely rebuilt. And now there's a pool going in!
Whenever we want to stay in the Richmond area, this is where we go.
