For Goosenecks State Park: Ideal camping! We like simple, no frills camping. At this SP you get a self-registered site (no reservation needed), pit toilets, picnic table, fire ring (though it was during fire ban season) AND spectacular views! We camped with temps around 100-108. Bring water!!! We were there on a Tues. night with only 3 other campers. One arrived after dark. It was extremely quiet and there were gobs of stars - no light pollution. If you are in the area or you want an "out-of-the-way" camp, this is a good one. I had my 2nd grader granddaughter with and the lizards had her fully entertained. At the site look for the Star Wars Imperial battle cruiser shaped land mass as you look at the river.
