For Lake Arrowhead State Park: Not the best Texas state park. Stayed there a few years ago and the site shorted out my surge protector. Thought I’d give it another try. This year they’re resurfacing ALL the roads. Between the dust, asphalt and tar smell, road closures and huge heavy equipment… the experience sucked. It’s good that they’re improving the park, but it should have been closed. The sites are water and electricity only. There’s only one bathhouse located in center of campground. Rangers are very helpful. There’s a couple of trails but beware if you mountain bike. Lots of stickers. We had two flats in a 4 mile ride. Probably will not return and definitely not until all road work is completed.

For Lake Arrowhead State Park: Nice enough state park. Water and 30A worked fine. Big lake and big sites. There are trails and a disc golf course. Sadly, the prairie dogs are gone. There are a lot of field mice/rats, however. We went and bought a rope light for under the trailer to keep them out. It seems to have worked.

For Lake Arrowhead State Park: 2nd time staying here- both times got site 19. Love the pump jack! Sites are super big, 50 amp and good water. This park is so peaceful with lots of birds. Staff has been friendly and professional both times. Stayed here in a 35’ 5 th wheel.

For Lake Arrowhead State Park: Beautiful park. Kids really enjoyed the swimming area on a hot day. Stayed in spot 19. This was pull thru. Our 40ft trailer fit perfectly. The covered table and bbq pit was a nice place to sit when it cooled off at night. Power and water only. We were close (walking distance) to the dump site with a tote tank.

For Lake Arrowhead State Park: Stayed here one night on the maiden outing of our new TT. Beautiful park, very quiet. It is known for its prairie dog town but sadly the colony has vanished. Rangers said that state biologists were looking into what happened or where they went. They’re hoping they turn up somewhere else in the park but for now they are simply missing. Hope they return or can be found! The staff at this park is very friendly.

For Lake Arrowhead State Park: Stayed here one night and family really enjoyed it. Stayed during week while it was slow and got to pick spot. We chose #22 and it was great spot. Awning side of trailer gets evening shade and it was short walk over to swimming area. We also biked the dragonfly and onion trails and they were nice and wide and mowed. Nice disc golf course as well if in to that. Neat to see the prairie dogs running everywhere as well. Great park.
