For Abilene State Park: We just bought a new travel trailer and live locally. We came here for 3 days to get to know our trailer. There are only a few spots with full hookups and they are 30 amp but everything else has 50 amp and water with dump stations close from what I see. Make a reservation if staying more than one night; especially if you want a shaded spot. This is a jem for sure. The staff are super friendly and there is a pool.

For Abilene State Park: Nice state park. We camped at what is known as the wagon wheel. It is very big circle with about 30 back in campsites right next to each other. You have to make reservations then when you arrive you drive around the wagon wheel until you find a spot you like, you better get there early. We rolled in early Friday evening on Mother's day weekend and it was crowded with a lot of moms and kids. There were bathrooms but no showers. Overall it was a nice park and we would stay there again.

For Abilene State Park: Beautiful place to park, nice size spaces, lots of trees. We came in after hours on a Monday evening just parked and went to the self pay station. 18.00 a night plus 5.00 per person for water and electric.

For Abilene State Park: State Park was fairly empty during our stay. Recent flooding probably kept a lot of people away. It was very nice park with lots of tree cover and roads to walk on. The trails were closed during due to recent weather.
The pool was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, The only two days we were at the park.
They put us in a pretty tight spot but I'm still be able to get into it with our 40 foot fifth wheel.
